Teguar expands with a new office in Taipei, Taiwan
Teguar Computers was recently recognized in Charlotte Business Journal for their international expansion. This included the opening of Teguar's Taiwan office. Headquartered in Charlotte, NC, Teguar has always had representatives working in various places throughout North America, Europe and Pacific Asia. Teguar also works closely with manufacturers and industry partners in Taiwan, the center of the computer hardware industry. Now equipped with a new office, Derek Tseng, Business Development Manager, is building his team. Oakland County to replace public safety communications system with the Motorola Solutions ASTRO 25 land-mobile radio network
Oakland County is enhancing the safety of residents, guests and businesses by improving the ability of first responders to communicate with each other during emergencies, including seamless interoperability with neighboring counties as well as state and federal agencies. The county has entered into a contract with Motorola Solutions to replace its aging public safety radio system with the ASTRO® 25 land-mobile radio (LMR) network which will interface with the statewide Michigan Public Safety Communication System (MPSCS). Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service utilizes Panasonic rugged solution for the frontline
The deployment of more than 200 Panasonic rugged TOUGHBOOK tablets is transforming the working lives of firefighters at Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service (DWFRS) by providing access to vital information at the scene of an emergency. The service has deployed the Panasonic TOUGHBOOK 33 tablets in the front cabs of its fire appliances as Mobile Data Terminals and in the rear of the vehicles as mobile, demountable devices to accompany firefighters when they leave the vehicles. Zebra study: Six in 10 plan warehouse automation to augment labor by 2024
Zebra Technologies Corporation announced the results of its 2024 Warehousing Vision Study, analyzing IT and operations decision makers' current and planned strategies for modernizing their warehouses, distribution centers and fulfillment centers. The study reports on the forward-thinking fulfillment strategies companies are focusing on to keep up with the growth of the on-demand economy. 77% of respondents agree that augmenting workers with technology is the best way to introduce automation in the warehouse, but only 35% have a clear understanding of where to start automating. 87% of decision makers are currently in the process of or planning to expand the size of their warehouses by 2024, with 82% anticipating an increase in the number of warehouses during this timeframe. Raben Group, an international logistics company, has equipped its drivers in 11 countries with rugged Panasonic TOUGHBOOK N1 handheld devices to record and share transport information in real-time. Approximately 4000 Panasonic devices have been deployed in 65 branches of the Raben Group. The 4.7-inch rugged TOUGHBOOK N1 handheld combines the functions of a tablet, phone and a barcode reader.
