DLI announces price reduction for its rugged tablets
Now here's welcome news! DLI, which makes a series of rugged tablets, announced price reductions of 10% to 27% for its entire line of rugged devices (DLI 8300, 8400, 8500, 8800). The company said the price reductions are the result of DLI's growing market share both domestically and abroad, manufacturing and design efficiencies gained at the DLI corporate facility in La Porte, Indiana, and the recent ISO certification of the DLI design office located in Taiwan. DLI announces 4th gen rugged vehicle-mount computers
DLI -- a manufacturer of rugged tablets, in-vehicle computers, and mobile POS devices -- announced the release of the DLI 9200 Vehicle-Mount Computer. The Intel Atom D525 powered DLI 9200 is available with a 12.1” or 15" outdoor-viewable LED touchscreen and offers a wide choice of multiple and concurrent wireless radio. Full review: DLI 8300 Rugged Tablet
DLI of Laporte, Indiana, offers a full lineup of tablet computers for different purposes and in different sizes. The role of the Intel Atom-powered DLI 8300 with its 8.4-inch display is that of a general purpose tablet computer large enough to serve as a "real" computer in the field or in a vehicle, but small and portable enough to be carried around on the job. DLI reports certification, expansion
DLI reported that their DLI 8400 Ultra-Mobile Rugged Tablet has received Verizon 3G Network certification under Verizon Wireless' Open Development program. This upgrade adds the reliability and speed of the Verizon 3G mobile network to the already speedy and rugged DLI 8400 (see our full review). DLI also announced two major initiatives designed to serve the company’s expanding global sales efforts: One is a new and expanded branch office in the city of Zhonghe in Taipei, Taiwan. DLI upgrades its rugged tablets
LaPorte, In. based DLI announced it has upgraded its line of rugged tablet computers with new HiBrite LED display technology that combines reduced internal reflection, enhanced polarization coating and a stronger backlight (up to 900 nits) to increase effective contrast ratio by a factor of 1.6x while using no more power than older CCFL displays (available in the DLI 8300 rugged tablet and 8400 ultra-mobile tablet). Full review: DLI 8400 rugged ultra-mobile tablet
The DLI 8400 is a rugged ultra-mobile tablet with an integrated keyboard suitable for a wide variety of field service, mobile payment, first responder, fleet management and similar applications. Measuring about 10 x 8 x 2 inches and weighing a bit over three pounds, the Atom Z530-powered DLI 8400 with its 7-inch WSVGA touchscreen and integrated magcard reader is significantly smaller and lighter than full-size rugged tablets but it is still large enough to serve as a full-function computer. In a detailed analysis, RuggedPCReview.com found the DLI 8400 a very competent and highly configurable ultra-mobile tablet that can run Windows 7 or several other operating systems.
