New industrial touch screen displays with IP66 front rating

CHARLOTTE, NC, USA — November 27, 2018 — In response to demand for industrial touchscreen monitors, Teguar has released the TD-45 line of industrial displays with availability in ten sizes. The TD-45 series monitors can be connected to a rugged box computer or industrial all-in-one PC to provide a durable touchscreen user interface. The front bezels of the TD-45 industrial monitors are IP66 rated, so they are protected from dust and high pressure water jets when they are panel mounted into a cutout in an enclosure. They also include VESA mounting holes on the back side, so they can be attached to a stand, arm, or hung on a surface.

Each screen size can be equipped with either a resistive touchscreen or a multitouch projected capacitive touchscreen. The resistive touchscreen is a common choice for traditional factory automation applications where operators may be wearing gloves. The projected capacitive touchscreen is required for applications where multitouch functionality is required, and the scratch resistant properties of projected capacitive touchscreens are typically necessary for public kiosk and other high usage settings.

The TD-45 series monitors (12.1" and larger) include a variety of video inputs including DisplayPort, HDMI, DVI, and VGA, so they are compatible with any computer. The smaller sizes in this series also have a DisplayPort, DVI, and VGA. Each industrial LCD size is available with an optional 1000 Nit sunlight readable LCD for daytime viewability in outdoor applications or high ambient light conditions. Each screen size is available with optical bonding to further enhance viewability and ruggedness for sunlight readable applications. The optional ambient light sensor offers auto-dimming, so the LCD brightness is automatically adjusted without manual intervention for daytime or nighttime use.

Many of these models are available with a wide operating temperature of -20°C to 60°C (-4°F to 140°F) to survive in extreme environments. They include a wide range 9V~36VDC terminal block power input, so they can be easily connected to an existing DC voltage source. An optional AC-to-DC power adapter is available for applications where only AC power is available. The rugged die-cast aluminum enclosure and IP66 protected front bezel offers protection from shock, vibration, dust, and liquids. These industrial monitors are designed for integration into OEM equipment, electrical cabinets, public kiosks, and production areas.

Ongoing product support is locally available in Charlotte, NC as well as locations in Europe and Taiwan.
