History: 2002 T-Mobile Pocket PC Phone
On August 1, 2002, T-Mobile introduced in the US the T-Mobile Pocket PC, a device that fully integrated cellphone and PDA functionality a full five years before the iPhone was launched. Does that make it the first true smartphone? We're inclined to say yes. At the time we said, "The elegantly designed T-Mobile Pocket PC combines a full Pocket PC with a high-end cellphone... No one knows just yet if the world is ready for a convergence between cell phones and PDAs." It'd take another five years until the world knew for sure, and the rest is history. Zebra Technologies announces Q3 2020 financials
Zebra Technologies reported sales of US$1,132 million in Q3 of 2020 compared to US$1,130 million in Q3 of 2019. Net sales in the Enterprise Visibility & Mobility segment (i.e. what used to be the enterprise business of Motorola Solutions) were US$788 million in Q3 2020 compared with $757 million in Q3 2019. Net income for Q3 2020 was US$116 million, compared to net income of US$136 million in Q3 2019.
